Service & Warranty Policy

Warranty Policy

  1. General Coverage:

  • During the first year of purchase, both spare parts and service charges will be provided free of charge if the issue is determined to be a factory error.
  • For the remaining lifetime of the product, service charges will remain free for factory-related errors, but customers will be responsible for the cost of spare parts.
  • In cases where damages are caused by the customer, all costs related to spare parts and service will be the responsibility of the customer.
  1. Transportation for Services:

  • Yangon Region:
    • If the product requires servicing within 3 months of purchase, Nikoki will arrange free pickup and delivery after the service is completed.
    • After 3 months of purchase, transportation charges will apply for pickup and delivery services.
  • Other Regions and Cities:
    • Customers are responsible for arranging transportation of the product to the Yangon Service Center if servicing is required.

 

Warranty Exclusions

The warranty does not cover certain conditions, damages, or product issues. Below are the exclusions in detail:

  1. Specific Exclusions for Products: (Washing Machines, Refrigerators, and Water Coolers)

    • Damage caused by improper cleaning, such as failure to clean the washing machine tub, inlet filter, or filter bag.
    • Damage resulting from accidentally placing foreign objects into the washing machine during operation.
    • Damage caused by using the product beyond its rated capacity, such as for commercial use, even if it occurs during the warranty period. In such cases, the customer will be required to bear the cost of spare parts and repair fees.
  1. General Warranty Exclusions:

    • Wear and tear resulting from normal use.
    • Accidental damage, misuse, abuse, or neglect of the product.
    • Damage caused by unauthorized repairs or alterations made by individuals or entities not certified by Nikoki.
    • Missing or altered warranty cards, or inability to provide the original proof of purchase. This proof must include the name and address of the seller, date and place of purchase, product model number, and serial number.
    • Damage to decorative parts such as dents, cracks, or scratches.
    • Spillage of food or drinks.
    • Connection to incompatible or unstable electrical voltage.
    • Corrosion, rust, chemical damage, or staining.
    • Improper testing, handling, installation, maintenance, or upgrades.
    • Use of unapproved spare parts, such as bulbs or components not manufactured by Nikoki.
    • Damage caused by insects, animals, moisture, or extreme temperatures.
    • Incomplete or improper installation.
    • Use of the product for purposes other than its intended function.
    • Damage caused during return transportation due to improper packaging.
    • Natural disasters, including floods, fires, windstorms, earthquakes, or lightning.
    • Any issues caused by external objects, such as debris or physical obstructions.
  1. Invalidation of Warranty:

    • The product’s serial number has been removed, altered, or rendered illegible.
    • Repairs or modifications were carried out by someone other than a Nikoki-certified technician.
    • The customer failed to comply with maintenance and cleaning requirements outlined in the user manual.

 

How to Obtain Warranty Service

  1. Repair or Replacement During Warranty:

    If a part or component is damaged within the warranty period due to factory-related issues, Nikoki will repair or replace it at its discretion. Replacement may involve using new or refurbished components of comparable value.

  1. Out-of-Warranty Repairs:

    - If the product is no longer under warranty, customers can send it to an authorized Nikoki repair center and pay the applicable fees for repairs and spare parts.

  1. Extended Warranty:

    • If your product is covered by an extended warranty provided by the dealer, contact the dealer directly for assistance. Dealers are often located at the original store of purchase.
  1. Contact Information:

  1. Relocation Services:

    • If repairs require relocation of the product to another area, applicable labor costs will be charged.
    • Nikoki reserves the right to decline repairs for products installed in locations that are difficult to access or deemed unsafe for technicians.
